Science Final Quiz

Science Final Quiz on 25th May is at LT1 and please be punctual.

Duration: 40 minutes
Weightage is 20% so you must do your best!

Topics covered:

1. Conservation and Conversion of Energy (10% of whole paper)
2. Change of Phase (15% of whole paper)
3. Separation Techniques (50% of whole paper) Note: Make sure you know all the different types of separation techniques and how to use them to separate mixtures.

-Filtration
-Simple Distillation
-Fractional Distillation
-Crystallization/Crystallisation
-Chromatography (different from paper chromatography. Take note)
-Magnetic Attraction

Find out the uses and helps of the 6 techniques of separation.

4. Cloud Formation (25% of whole paper) Note: For this topic, most likely you'll be tested on different types of clouds so it's better to understand and remember all the different types of clouds. Notes:

-Cirrus means "curl" and used for high-level clouds. Eg. Cirrus, cirrocumulus, etc.

-Cumulus means "heap" and describe tall, lumpy clouds. Eg. Cumulonimbus, etc.
-Stratus means "layer" and describe featureless clouds that form sheets. Eg. Altostratus, etc.
-Nimbus means "rain" and refers to clouds that generates precipitation. Eg. Nimbostratus, etc.


The test will also include Geography Sections such as clouds, air and so on. Please take note.
